I have already registered for IHBPA 2020 in Melbourne, will my registration be transferred to IHPBA 2020 Virtual Congress in November 2020?

Yes, your registration will be applied to IHPBA 2020 Virtual Congress. The registration team will be in contact with confirmation and to discuss a refund of the price difference.

My registration was managed by a sponsor or agency, what should I do?

Contact your group leader who will be responsible for managing your registration.

Unfortunately, I will not be able to attend IHPBA 2020 Virtual Congress in November 2020, can I be reimbursed?

Should you not be able to attend IHPBA 2020 Virtual Congress, please contact us by 4 September 2020 to discuss options.

I cancelled my registration, but I will be able to attend on the new dates, what should I do?

What should I do with my hotel booking?

If you have booked accommodation via the congress, this has been cancelled at no cost to you. The IHPBA 2020 Congress Secretariat will be in touch with you directly to confirm this.

Hotel, airline company or travel agency did not accept to reschedule or reimburse my booking for free, will the congress reimburse me?

Unfortunately, the congress is not in a position to provide reimbursements for flights.

 

Program

What will IHPBA 2020 Virtual Congress offer?

The IHPBA 2020 Virtual Congress will remain a full educational and scientific experience and will facilitate interactions among surgeons, physicians, researchers, scientists, clinicians and other health professionals from around the world. Attendees will be able to:

  • Watch live plenary sessions
  • Access 1000+ on-demand content for an extended time post-congress
  • Connect with colleagues from around the world
  • Make new connections with a larger and more global audience, many of whom may have not attended due to cost and travel constraints
  • Connect with industry partners via the virtual exhibition
  • Catch up on missed sessions – live sessions will be recorded and made available on demand
I have a presentation scheduled during the congress, what will happen with it?

The scientific committee are currently working on finalising an exciting program for the IHBPA 2020 Virtual congress. We will let you know in September whether program changes will affect your presentation.

Do I need to be registered to have my presentation a part of the program?

Yes, you will need to be registered for your abstract to be accepted into the program.

Can I change my abstract before the new congress dates?

Abstracts selected for presentation cannot be changed.  The scientific program team will be in touch with the corresponding author in due course.

Can I earn CME points by attending IHBPA 2020 Virtual Congress?

Will the live sessions be recorded?

Yes, all live sessions will be recorded and will be available on-demand afterwards.

Will there be a virtual exhibition?

Yes, there will be a virtual exhibition.

I am struggling to understand the time of my presentation with the different times zones advertised on each day.

The session times on the virtual platform are noted in your local time (according to your device). You can also double check this on the programme overview which has a handy converter tool.

What browser is best for me to use?

We recommend you use Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox to access the platform. Internet Explorer and Safari are not supported browsers and may impact your experience within the platform.

I am a speaker/chair and I don’t have my session zoom link.

You zoom link will be emailed to you during the week of the 23rd of November and again on the morning of your presentation.

I am speaker/chair, do I need two screens?
